All very interesting, but it would be much better to relate these results to eg a top rated similar sized car to actually see the differences. Realistically, it is my responsibility to buy a car to keep the occupants who travel with me safe. It the law allows a dangerous car to harm pedestrians, beyond my skills to prevent a collision, then that is not, strictly my responsiblity. Goodness knows what the pedestrian impact results look like for giant pickup trucks eg VW Amarok(are they measured?), or giant Rolls Royce sized vehicles, let alone vans. A video needs to be put out to put all of these numbers and benefits into the mind of the public, otherwise they are meaningless. I now only drive superminis, that is what most single occupancy journeys should be taken in to reduce emissions, but they arent as safe as a Range Rover, and we all know how they are driven.
